At the age of 24 having travelled and worked for 4 years since leaving a Travel & Tourism course in 1993 I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted to embark on a career that would allow me to travel and be full of variety.
I thought that studying computers would provide me with plenty of opportunities so I enrolled on a one year Access Course at my local College, got a certificate and went off to University, where 4 years later I got a degree in Systems Analysis and Design.
After leaving University I worked for a company looking after their IT infrastructure, although it was interesting I felt that the technical aspects of computers were not for me. I wanted to be more creative and use computers as a tool to develop my design skills.
During this period I attended a couple of night classes and started designing websites for two charity organisations. This helped me to keep up to date with the ever changing technologies and make me realise that I had found a real passion.
Photography started as a hobby, it was good to escape the computer screen and get out into the fresh air. While out and about in the early morning light I wanted to capture some of the stunning scenery I was witnessing so I bought my first slr camera, a Minolta 404si. Through trial and error I taught myself how to use it and after a while I had a nice selection of landscape photographs.
In September 2004 I decided to set up a photography company called ImageReale to sell my landscape photographs and use the income to invest in new equipment. I still enjoy heading off at sunrise to capture the morning light but I have found another passion and that is sports photography. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the action as it unfolds.
I now know that my ambition and aim in my professional career is to be involved with and combine my 3 main passions Design, Photography and Sport. Bring it on...
